We’ve all heard the expression “you are what you eat”… but you may not realize how true this actually is!

Everything that we put into our bodies… the good as well as the bad… impacts our overall wellness and wellbeing one way or another! Do you realize how fab this actually is?! This means, that we have the power to change things about our health and overall physical body, just by changing our nutrition… pretty empowering I’d say!

The foods we ingest not only impact our weight, but they impact so much more… and here are a few of my favs tid bits that you should add to your diet;

Green Tea– Trade in your coffee for green tea! It’s rich in anti-oxidants and reduces the risk of cancer!

Water– Hello Hydration! Drinking water has so many benefits… it helps flush out toxins from our body, keeps our lips from getting dry, fights against acne, and keeps us hydrated to name a few … the list of benefits is endless.

Protein– Make sure you have plenty of protein in your diet! Protein helps rebuild your bodies cells… not only does it help rebuild and repair muscle (amazing after a hard workout!), but also promotes healthy skin, nails, and hair! Foods rich in protein are fish, chicken, nuts and beans to name a few.

Acai– The benefits of Acai are huge! It helps lower cholesterol, and the antioxidant qualities mean that it fights cancer, slows down aging, and helps with cardiac functioning as well as blood circulation.

Fruits and Veg– There’s no better way to get all the vitamins your body needs to stay healthy and give you the energy you need to tackle your busy schedule, than to get them the natural way… but eating foods rich in them- fruit and veg!
